Having only met and made plans online, the first Hoots group traveled to Sevierville, Tennessee with great expectations and excitement, and perhaps even a little trepidation. What if they don't get along, have nothing in common and can't wait to leave? No problem, as the group instantly bonded and became great friends.
There were just 13 coaches at this first gathering, 11 Dutch Stars and two Mountain Aires. They came from 11 different states and all different backgrounds, but they had one common passion; the Newmar motorhome lifestyle.
Bush's Baked Beans
Most motorhome rallies have great events, but the HOOTS decided early on that they wanted to be a little different, offbeat and unusual. They chose something fun and unique, a tour of Bush's Baked Beans.
This desire to be unpredictable remains at the very core of the Hoots today as we continue to pick events that others may not consider.
Food and Fun Makes It Great !
There's nothing like food and fun to bring people together, whether it is a pot-luck supper or time spent at the Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine Distillery, the unique event schedule feeds our appetite and makes us thirst for more.
