2022 Sevierville,TN - Hoots X
Hoots took place from September 25 through October 2, 2022. We had 72 Newmar coaches at the Ridge Outdoors RV Resort to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hoots. National Indoor RV Center (NIRVC) and Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp (FCCC) sponsored part of Hoots again this year and provided four days of food, drinks, entertainment and the excursion to the Pirates Voyage dinner show. Welcome Party
We started the week with a kick-off gathering in the middle of the campground. Unfortunately the party ended a bit abruptly when a storm rolled in REALLY fast and everyone had to run back to their rigs to get shelter from the thunderstorm. Progressive Happy Hour / Coach Stroll
We amped up the coach stroll this year by adding food and drinks to the stroll. This year we moved around as a group (or parliament which is a group of owls) between four areas within the campground where the Hoots served everyone either food, drink or a desert and opened their coaches for strolling. Jeep Adventure
Lots of Hoots headed to Outdoors in the Smokies to run the 4x4 trails. The event consisted of an overview of how best to use a Jeep or other 4x4 vehicle on off road terrain and then the group broke up into two groups to tackle the trail. Folks brought food and cooked over grills for lunch and then had the opportunity to take on the most challenging trail up to the top of the mountain if they chose. Sponsor Provided Food, Drinks and Entertainment
Once again this year NIRVC and Freightliner sponsored fun activities, tech talks, food and drinks. Kenny Evans, an entertainer, provided a fun-filled evening with a mix of music, dancing and comedy. The next night our sponsors treated us to the Pirates Voyage dinner show. Fun Hoots Activities Organized by Hoots
Lots of Hoots volunteered to provide the Hoots activities that we all enjoyed. We continued our tradition of the Pancake Breakfast and the Dirty Dogs Night. This is the second year that we added pickle ball and lots of Hoots came out to learn the game from our own instructors and Hoots, Eric and Linda. |
