2018 Grapevine, TX - Hoots VI
The HOOTS go west again in 2018 for a "Big Ol' Texas Style" western adventure. We're in Grapevine Texas, home of the GrapeFest and nearby neighbor to Dallas and Fort Worth. The shore of Grapevine Lake is the perfect backdrop for an amazing week of fun and touring.

National Indoor RV Center - A Perfect Hoots Partner

Picture
Many of our members have purchased their Newmar coaches from National Indoor RV Center, so Brett Davis and his team at NIRVC jumped at the chance to sponsor our event in Texas.

They provided display coaches, a great tour of their Lewisville facility, a fabulous Texas BBQ luncheon and an invitation to host a future Hoots event in Las Vegas with sponsorship from their newest NIRVC location.

Learning The Craftsmanship Of Glass Blowing

Picture
Sandy C came up with this year's most unusual and unique event, an opportunity to learn the craft of glass blowing from some truly talented masters of the art.

Vetro Glassblowing Studio hosted two full hands-on classes and guided our members as they transformed liquid glass into something unusual, stunning and truly memorable.

The Misadventures of the Grapevine Vintage Railroad

Picture
Vinny "Choo Choo" Chianese planned an incredible adventure featuring a vintage train ride to the Fort Worth Stockyards and an afternoon of great fun. But sometimes even the best-laid plans just don't work out as expected.

The train left the station headed to Fort Worth, but after several train traffic delays along the way they had to turn back. To make things worse, the train had a significant delay on the return due to a blocked track. Total journey to nowhere: 5 hours, 15 minutes.

The Hoots always make the best of a bad situation and they all stepped off the train with smiles on their faces and a story to tell the grandkids. And none of them missed an opportunity to beat up on Vinny a little bit, all in good fun, of course.

A Hoots First - Special Recognition Awards

Picture
This was our sixth Hoots event and for the first time in our brief history something truly special is happening.

We were proud to be honoring six members that have attended FIVE Hoots Events. A truly special thank you and congratulations to our "Five-Year" honorees: Donna and Lloyd Fitzgerald, Sandy and Bill Hunt, and Lila and Doug Young.
