Hoots 2021
This HOOTS is scheduled to begin on October 12. Our RV resort has agreed to allow extensions before and after our scheduled dates at the agreed HOOTS rate. More on that below. HOOTS will follow the 2021 Annual National Shrimp Festival, held October 7-10. This major event takes place on the Gulf Shores public beach. You will want to keep an eye toward the sky while you’re in the area, too – the Blue Angels like to practice along the beach on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Our sponsors are intent on HOOTS retaining its own identity and independence. The sponsorship includes four nights and a variety of meals and entertainment. The schedule is not complete yet, but will be included here as soon as it’s finalized.
Preliminary agenda and featured events
Some of the older activities were so good that we will be trying to bring them back for another go-round. But, there’s plenty of new stuff in the works, too.

  • Last year’s golf tournament was a great hit, so we’re planning to do it again, but with fewer mountains and less wind.
  • The pancake breakfast was a hit, too – we’re planning to do it again, as well.
  • The poker run did a great job of getting the community involved with Hoots, including some pretty good local discounts. We plan to do that, too.
  • Happy Hours (with free beer and wine). We’re planning a couple of those – another benefit of sponsorship.
  • Meals – we’re working with our sponsors for:
    • Four continental breakfasts
    • Three lunches
    • Two dinners
  • Entertainment – we are also discussing with our sponsors some local entertainment and excursions. Features we’re working on, but not yet confirmed, include a dolphin-watching excursion and hot air balloon feature at the campground.
The Price
Hoots has traditionally been a 7-day affair, and we plan it to remain that way, with options. Sponsorship, on the other hand, is a 5-day affair.

And, so it is that registration is a two-step affair.
  • First, the sponsored Hoots: this is four nights at the RV resort. Payment is due when you make your reservation and includes the things discussed above, along with four nights (October 13 – 16) at the resort with full hook-ups. The price(s):
    • $399 for a coach with two people.
    • $249 for a coach with one person.
    • Additional guests, per coach, are $150.
  • Second, once registered, you will receive an email detailing the procedure for booking the additional nights at the RV resort, along with information about purchasing HOOTS 2021 apparel and how to schedule the services that will be offered. The additional nights have been negotiated with the RV resort at the same rate as the sponsored nights, $59 for ONE NIGHT prior (Oct. 12) to Hoots and for several nights following our 7 days. Additional nights can also be reserved for earlier arrivals to attend the ShimpFest, but those will be at the posted weekend rate, $79 per night.
  • During the registration process, you will find a box for special requests. If you wish to be located next to or near to anyone, this is the place to make such a request as the option may not be available later.
Registration Instructions
  1. When the registration link is activated, click it and register. Your payment for the event must be made during the registration process.
  2. Following registration, you will receive instructions on how to reserve additional nights, ordering apparel and requesting available services.
  3. If Registration is full, join the Wait List.   You will be contacted if a spot becomes available.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
  • 100% of the purchase price will be refunded if cancellation notice is received 12 weeks prior to start of event.
  • A 75% refund will be given if cancellation notice is received up to 8 weeks prior to the start of the event.
  • A 50% refund will be given if cancellation notice is received between 8 and 6 weeks prior to the start of the event.
  • A 25% refund will be given if cancellation notice is received between 6 and 4 weeks prior to the start of the event.
  • All cancellations within 4 weeks prior to the start of the event will NOT be refunded.
